MICROSOFT ExpertZone
Microsoft ExpertZone is a gamified training platform with a storytelling approach to content. In the login section, an international ExpertZone community of Microsoft sales and support experts find extensive information on Microsoft products and solutions, extend their sales and support skills and share know-how.
In 2015, in collaboration with the Munich-based agencies Marvin Film and Metzler : Vater, I wrote eight humorous tutorial video storyboards of several minutes’ duration for the Windows 10 launch for ExpertZone. In 2016 and 2017, I was directly commissioned by Microsoft to develop user stories that could have actually taken place in real life: in these stories, we amalgamated individual details from the Microsoft universe (device features, synchronised virtual work interfaces, future-proof device interfaces, augmented and/or mixed realities, design attributes, etc.) to create a coherent digital mega concept, sales inspiration and customer empathy. In November 2016, Microsoft also commissioned me with a communication analysis as part of the ExpertZone relaunch at that time, which I used to provide feedback on the usability and user journey from a copywriter’s perspective and on platform wording, breadcrumb wording, category wording and C2A wording as well as the consequent author perspectives and/or author references.
